21 Days of Prayer and Fasting
During this time, we’re making a conscious effort to spend time with God every day. Prayer is more than a ritual; it’s how we commune with Him. We’re excited to see how God changes our hearts and our community through prayer and fasting. We invite you each day to create space for Jesus and join us in praying for our world.
FASTING
At its core, fasting is simply a way to draw closer to God’s heart. It’s about more than just giving something up; it’s about clearing away the noise and distractions of daily life to make more room for Him. Think of it as a 'soul reset'—a chance to be renewed from the inside out and to truly celebrate how good and merciful God is to us.
As we prepare our hearts for the beautiful things He wants to do in our lives, remember that while a fast should be a meaningful challenge, it’s also a deeply personal journey. Please be mindful of your body and your health. Most importantly, stay tucked into prayer and follow the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit as you decide what this season looks like for you.
Complete Fast
In this type of fast, you drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.
Selective Fast
This type of fast involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.
Partial Fast
This fast is sometimes called the “Jewish Fast” and involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or from sunup to sundown.
